Lorna clearly doesn't understand at first, but then he mentions that he can't eat food anymore and she understands. She'd been doing similar things upon realizing she could feel (and now move metal objects again), but the reaction had been like gaining back something she'd thought was lost. This looks a lot less pleasant. She finds another glass of water and hands it to him, though she's not sure if it'll be helpful if he can't eat food.

"Here. Rinse out your mouth," she says, glancing at the staff who have come to investigate the commotion. "Do you think you can walk?""
