JUST A DREAM FROM YESTERDAY
Living Island. If ever there were a first step to stopping this madness, it’s figuring out what those words mean. But starting is always the hardest part, and with nothing else to go by than two seemingly unrelated, nonsensical words left behind by a force you can’t see much less communicate with, an already arduous task seems even more impossible. This is furthered by the reactions you get when you hit the street and start asking people if they know anything about Living Island. Most of them can only look back at you blankly, as if waiting for a punchline that never comes. Others actually take you seriously enough to consider the question, and to their credit, they do take their time racking their brains to remember where they’ve heard that name before, why it sounds so familiar. But the most you’ll get back from them is a sheepish shrug of the shoulders and a reply that it sounds like something from TV. It gets to the point where their answers blend together, each one more unremarkable than the last. Save for the one you get from the last person you haven’t asked. Living Island.

The mods will respond to NPC tags until February 28th.
Any questions can go in our FAQ thread below. Try to check and see if your question has already been answered on the plotting thread first here.

sleepover; CW: post-surgery, eardrum trauma
Now there's bizarre knockout gas and bone-deep fear and post-surgery fatigue to contend with too. To say the least of her new tinnitus, which is pretty much impossible to tune out if she's unlucky enough for it to strike while she's trying to fall asleep.
So she's not asleep when Papyrus poses his question, or even anywhere close to it. There are dark circles under her eyes like she should be trying to get some rest, but she's not. She's just paused in penciling out letters on the floor with her index finger, apparently in thought. Despite her exhaustion, the look she gives Papyrus is alert, her focus on his question intent; it usually has been when speaking to the other captives, like she's happy to have anything else to focus on besides her cramped cage and messed up ear. Plus, with her hearing all wonky, it helps to watch the shapes their mouths make while they talk.
It's an easy answer. She smiles and settles back against the bars of her cage, pretending that lounging like this is in any way comfortable.] I want to find a nice spot to sit down and write! I know it's pretty cold this time of year, but I want to be outside, you know?
I love the juxtaposition of that sunshiney smile icon with the content, Sayori plz
So when he looks Sayori's way, he does it by tilting his head back until he can see her - mostly her cage - in an upside down perspective. His eyes and nose are more visible than anything, but even speaking in a relative stage whisper of a hush, he's still louder than many.]
Because, it's very cold outside. I swear, my nose went numb sometimes... after those dips in the frozen pond.
THAT'S HOW IT BE WITH HER...
[It helps to wake her up on days that she struggles to shake off the depression-induced sleepiness. She tilts her head, peering upwards as if trying to recall something. It's useless, though; there was no route where she ever went for a wintertime dip.] I wasn't planning on going swimming, but if my nose gets numb, then I have a good reason to go inside and have a hot drink to warm me up!!
[Then, a gasp of amazement.] Ooh! Or I could bring a thermos of something hot and drink it while I write! Yeah, that'd be great!
