Who: Monika and ~~YOU~~
When: Early February, before the event starts
Where: In and outside her house, the library, and the network!
What: Getting started with her new life, but is this reality of another game?
Warnings: N/A
1b. Personal Residence (Awakening - February 01st)
Monika was sitting on the edge of her new bed, holding onto a framed picture she'd taken from the wall. Still in pajama, she looked amazed and befuddled in equal part. Was it reality? The voice she heard screaming for help, the darkness and now this place... She shouldn't be here. She shouldn't be anywhere. Yet here she was... It defied reason and logic. And what about the conditions of her awakening here...? Well, perhaps she'd imagined the voice. Perhaps it was an echo of her own screams for help. But it wasn't what bothered her the most.
"How..."
The framed picture represented her in a wedding gown along with a man whom she'd never seen before. Why, he didn't even look human. But they both looked so happy! So happy in fact, she found herself silently crying while staring at the frame. Where did this picture come from...? Oh, surely there was a rational explanation behind it, but... It was everything she'd dreamed of. It was something that looked so real, and yet she had no memories of having ever lived through it.
Was this picture a kindness or a cruel mockery of her dreams?
1b. Personal Residence (Exploring - February 01st)
Regardless of what the picture was, she had to see what awaited her in the rest of her new home. And why if it wasn't delightful! Well, she wasn't particularly fond of the 60s aesthetic and the themes that went with it, but... Given her predicament mere moments before and what her heart longed for, it was like heaven. It was so wonderful! Too wonderful. How could any of this even be real?
It had to be... A game, right? But she couldn't manipulate any code. She couldn't sense anything. So... This couldn't be a game. Right? Now fully clothed in one of the dresses she'd found, she tentatively stared and poked at the things all around, trying to determinate if any of this is real. Also trying to see if there were other people around.
Of course, she was still holding onto that framed picture, as if that was the most cherished of her possessions.
2. Santa Rosita's Streets (Making Friends - February 02nd - 04th)
A night's sleep later, Monika would be found walking the streets of the city on the lookout for more people like her. By now she'd established two things: most of the people in this place were quite literally NPCs. The question was, were they brainwashed people or literal NPCs in a video game? The former she could do with as it meant this place was real. The later though...
Hence why upon seeing someone sticking out from the Robbie, Monika immediately rushed to them. It wasn't too hard, the Robbies were so stiff. Even if everyone shared similar style of clothes, it was easy to spot someone not being stupidly happy for no reason. And of course, that someone is you.
"Hello!" She paused and took her breath, she'd sprinted upon seeing them after. "Ah... Er, sorry. You— You're not one of them, right?"

He's Okuyasu Nijimura, and no one else. He's from Japan, and that's one fact that he'll never deny is part of himself.
"Just ask your fake mom and dad and they'll point out everyone else. Why don't you ask now." Obviously, she had to be a teenager. She looked like she could go to his high school, maybe a senior.
no subject
"Ahaha, well considering I am a mother here, I don't think it would be very good for my son's morale if I were to show how lost I am!"
Nevermind her son is one year younger than her, tops.
no subject
"Uh..." He scratched at the side of his face with a finger. "You look...really good for your age." Perfect compliment.
no subject
"Ehehe, thank you!" She'll have to speak with his mother, clearly he needs to be taught some manner. "Oh, I realize I haven't even introduced myself! I'm Monika. Just Monika, it's nice meeting you!"
no subject
"Okuyasu Nijimura. From Morioh, Japan." Basic facts, but ones that he must never forget again. "So...what year are you from, anyway?"
no subject
Right, they all came from different eras... It may be for the best to say a white lie here and say she's american if he asks. She doesn't look Japanese, nor does Monika sound like a Japanese name. She doesn't want to deal with too many questions.
"2017! I thought it was a pretty bad year, but I'm kinda missing it right now ahaha."
no subject
Does stating the year make Monika feel old? She must have been a middle school student all the way back then, but it does bring up an interesting point. His face lights light. "Hey! So in a way, it makes me older than you, huh?"
Unless she was older than 34, which would earn her the title of Most Attractive Mom. There was no way she wasn't in her 20's.
no subject
"Ahaha, I guess so, but only if I meet your future self from 2017! Who knows what may happen within 18 years."
no subject
Well, the Jojo universe will be reset by a philosophical priest in 2012, so who knew how he would end up after that? Apart from that, so many things could happen to him in a world where Stand users could be hiding anywhere.
no subject
Wisdom comes with age! Or so they say. Will Okuyasu ever be wise?
no subject
"Hey, it's different for us guys. We don't care how old we are!"
no subject
"Huh-uh."
But she wasn't going to say that to Okuyasu, why would she embarrass him?
"I suppose you may have a point, ahaha!"
no subject
His mood had fortunately lifted after this.
"So, where d'you live? We gotta make sure we know where all the safe houses are in case something tries to kill us again."
no subject
"Oh, the house just there!" She points it at him, her player is too lazy to check the housing page. "And you, do you live close?"
no subject
no subject
"That's good! Maybe we'll be able to meet again soon, then!"
She is clearly the most responsible adult of them all, trust her.
