FONTINA AND FOCACCIA
As the luncheon continues, you may be able to notice some of the HHA volunteers scurrying back and forth, taking turns manning the doors and the small table where Betty’s taking donations and issuing meal vouchers. Watch long enough and you’ll be able to see that all of them are ultimately reporting to three ladies who confer at a smaller table set back from all the mingling, talking amongst themselves and from time to time making notes in a small ledger. At about half past noon, one of the women stands, calling out, “May I have your attention, please?” She has to repeat it a couple times to be heard, but after a minute or two everybody settles down. The woman nods toward all of the guests, then turns back to the table, allowing one of the women to stand and make herself known. Tall, graceful, and neat, she takes a look around the room as she speaks — does her gaze linger a moment on you?

MUNDANITY AND MISHAPS
After the luncheon, things in Santa Rosita continue on as normal. The weekend comes and goes, the work week begins, and the cold February wind blows… But when you wake up on February 10th, some of you are missing. |

OOC INFO
Welcome to the first part of February’s event! You can use this entry to top-level for the event, but feel free to utilize the log and network communities as well. Sign-ups to have your character abducted are located here; please fill out the form provided along with any other pertinent details.
You may play with the townsfolk NPCs as necessary in your threads; non-Robbied neighbors will be cordial and happy to make small talk and will try to maintain the pleasant atmosphere. Robbies will, as always, be mindlessly optimistic and complimentary about everything—you may find that most of the Robbies have congregated at their own table and are bubbling with excitement over just about anything.
There will be a top-level posted for Rosemary below. If you would like to have your character interact with her, comment with your starter there. The mods will respond to tags for Rosemary until February 15th.
Any questions can go in our FAQ thread below. Try to check and see if your question has already been answered on the plotting thread first here.
Remember — part 2 of this event is coming February 15th!

Head of the local Happy Homes Association. President of the Literature Club. It felt like there was common ground there. If anyone was to have an answer to her one and only question, it had to be her.
That probably just was wishful thinking. ]
Ah, Miss Rosemary? Can I please ask you a question?

[ Who just happens to be maybe one or two years younger than her at most. Totally normal stuff. But actually, the mention of her "son" gave her the perfect opportunity to ask her questions without being too direct about it. ]
Speaking of my son actually. Last day I was thinking back to his childhood when I realized something pretty amazing. If we go strictly by our ages, when I gave birth to him I was probably... Roughly one-year old? [A pause. That's awkward.] Ahaha...! I'm not a doctor so maybe I'm wrong but don't you think it's kinda weird?

[Rosemary's hand flies to her breast, shocked. And then:] Please forgive me, Mrs. Kesi, but I hadn't expected your question to be about... that.
Are you feeling quite well? I can ask one of the servers for some ice water, or tea, if that might be better. I seem to recall that Shinjiro was a step-son, of sorts -- but I do so hate to pry into family business.
no subject
[ Not the reply she'd expected. She could argue that her "husband" having parented Shinji at such a young age would be no less creepy, but bad idea. ]
My apologies. You're right, I have not been entirely well of late. [One last try—] Sometimes I wake up and I feel like nothing is real around me... It feels like at a moment's notice, my reality could unravel. My husband, my son, my friends— All falling apart like props on a movie set, leaving me all alone in a void. Don't you ever get that feeling?
no subject
Rosemary's gaze seems to soften.] I do, Mrs. Kesi. My husband, Mr. Craven, is often gone for work. One day he's here, and the next... he's gone.
It can be hard to feel certain that our world isn't going to come undone around us, and harder still when you aren't sure who's going through the same struggles.
Is there anything I can do to help?
no subject
Talking about it helped a lot. I thank you for lending me an ear.
[ Perhaps someday she'd have an "epiphany" as Monika had, but today wasn't the day. That or she really didn't want to talk about it. The only thing to do was leave the door open, or so she figured. ]
If you ever feel that way again and don't know how to handle the sensation... If it becomes too much to bear, please do contact me. It may not sound like it after what I said today, but I have some experience dealing with that feeling.

[Rosemary looks for a moment as though she wants to say more, then stops herself. Pauses, considers... and after a moment, she adds:] Though I feel as though I should be making the offer to you. I'm very familiar with the feeling that reality might... unravel. I've been dealing with it for a long time now.
It isn't something you can talk about with most people, however.
no subject
[ Does she know something...? Obviously something is amiss. Perhaps she's not had quite an epiphany but still has the feeling something is wrong? It would be best to wait for another time to press the issue. ]
[ And why, "another time" came around fast. Following this conversation on February 11th, Monika is doing the rounds of every houses in the city, every buildings to try and find Rosemary. She starts out by looking for the Craven house amongst regular residences, then whatever place the HHA has chances to be found at and then everything else. She's gonna lose a lot of sleep over that, she's pretty desperate.
((OOC: Not sure if that's the right place to post that, but didn't find any other posts, sorry in advance!))]
