Clifford the Big Purple Cat
Who: Kipo and Open
When: January 5th
Where: All around town
What: Kipo gets her Mega Jaguar form back!
Warnings: None
[It happened in the early morning.
Kipo's not sure what did it. She was enjoying her morning, with a cup of hot cocoa for this chilly day when she accidentally spilled it on herself. The action startled her, and before she could react, she felt herself sink. In her place, a large 8 foot tall jaguar creature was standing in the middle of town.
While she should be panicking, she's filled with excitement because her powers are finally back! Okay, not all of them. But she doesn't know that yet. In any case, this large creature will be wandering the town:

So much for a low profile...]

No way to tell what might be stalking the streets at night.
Kind of like, a giant jaguar, for instance.
Cassandra doesn't scream when she spots it. Rather, she stops immediately in her tracks on the street, bags clutched in her arms. Her thoughts alternate between running a hundred miles a second and doing absolute jack shit. One bag, a smaller one, moves in her arms just as she shifts to back away.... just enough to let a jar slide out and smash against the asphalt.]

That's... a problem. A problem she will worry about in a minute!
Instead she lowers herself to the ground, and attempts to wave her paw. See? Friendly!]

She watches the beast lower itself closer to her level. Trying to get a closer look at her, perhaps? Or, if this thing was any way similar to ordinary cats, readying itself to pounce.
Either way... Cass wasn't having it. Especially as the jaguar beast raised a paw.]
Easy... Easy... Let's not do anything too quickly.
[As long as there's enough time to reach down and grab the knife Cass kept in her boot.]

Kipo can tell she's making Cassandra nervous, and without turning back into Kipo she can't do much about it. She thinks hard... herbs in, herbs out...
Herbs in... Herbs out...
She can feel her emotions starting to calm, and the big jaguar shifts back into a young girl, and Kipo drops to the ground with an "oof!"]

The giant jaguar is obviously doing something, and Cassandra decides that she can't let herself stand in suspense. She readies her blade, takes a stance, and raises it to strike-
Strike the empty air before her, as the Jaguar monster suddenly turns into a much smaller girl that plummets to the ground in front of Cassandra.]
...What.
[There's many, many things she could say. But that about covers it.]

[Kipo sees the knife in Cassandra's hand.]
Uhh... what were you gonna do with that?
no subject
[Looks at Kipo, looks down at her knife. Aaaaand it's immediately disappearing down a back pocket somewhere. It will probably slice through, but that's fine. She'll fix it later.]
What? Me? Nothing, I was just... What the heck was that?

But seeing a purple, six-legged predator skulking around the hedge dividing two yards leaves him gasping in surprise.]
Oh my god. A monster?!?
[But he's not particularly horrified by the concept - a little nervous, maybe, because of those scary occurrences in December. But also a fair bit hopeful - the drowned zombies and antlered meat-eaters were nowhere near so colorful, and this creature could be any one of his neighbors, back home.]

Not one for words, huh? Well don't worry, I've known plenty of people who don't talk much.
[Dogs, birds, fire... And Papyrus is more than willing to talk enough to make up the difference, to guess at their thoughts and give the chance to indicate yes or no.]
How do you feel about charades.

Rrrrrr!!

[The enthusiasm is reassuring twofold, one that this monster's eager to go along with being questioned, and two that this monster is not about to viciously maul him for not wearing a New Years outfit or something.]
Now. I'm sorry to say, this first question isn't very fun. But we'll get there.
So! Firstly! Are you... from this town??
[If this very human-filled town actually secretly has proper monsters living in it somewhere, he is going to demand a tour there ASAP.]

Well, that's fine! I didn't really expect you to be! I guess that means, you moved here... Was it long ago? Or, recently?
[He gestures with his hands, a wide spacing for long ago, and a very narrow spacing for recently. The better not to stymie the answering.]

A good look reveals that this plant has a cat-like face, eyeing this big cat curiously. It wipes at its face with a leaf while it waits for her to make a move.]
no subject
Oh my gosh you're a cat plant! She wants to say, but instead she just makes an excited rumbling noise.]

You have no idea how much I want to pet you.
no subject
[Suspicious cat! The plant hisses at Kipo and tilts forward so that the tips of the petals are facing her-
-but its ability to create air bubble shots is gone. Now it's just cute.]
Y'see something out there, buddy? [Okuyasu's footprints approach the window, and the teen appears behind Stray Cat, his shirt partially buttoned.]
Oh. Uh. [He shouts through the glass.] Hello?
no subject
...
I like your cat plant!
no subject
Oh, Stray Cat? Yeah, it just showed up in my house one day. I dunno how, but someone brought it from home.
[He pets the petals, calming it down somewhat.] Doesn't have its powers, either.
