I am too, usually.
[But she's always had her powers to do it. As a mortal woman, she has much fewer options. Her brows draw together, moving to peer through the crack in the window.]
Maybe. [She sounds doubtful.] I'm certainly not about to issue it an invitation.

Usually. Like this. Keep saying things like that and I'll start thinking you're not human.
[It's a throwaway comment as he paces back and forth in the short space, hating the sensation of being trapped, of not knowing how direct the threat is.
He grunts agreement to her second comment, equally uninclined to invite it in. Or open the door to find out if it's still out there.]

We might be able to get out through one of these windows. I don't like the idea of sitting in here and waiting to see what it does.

Better than getting torn to shreds. Been there, done that, the t-shirt was tacky.
[Is he joking? Is this an offering that he also may not be entirely human? It's a mystery.
But Diana is... partially right. They can't wait here forever.]
I was going to have my husband call me a taxi for down this way. Could still do that, see if we can't get to it before that thing gets us?
[Or maybe the cab and it's driver would provide a snack & distraction, which he's also okay with, but suspects Diana may not be.]

She frowns, but honestly doesn't have any better ideas. She doesn't like the idea of putting someone else in danger to help themselves, but she's certain they can't outrun that thing on foot.]
That... could work. How long would it take a taxi to get here, do you think?

[He's pretty sure the taxi company is like, three dudes, since the town isn't exactly big enough to support a decent sized company. So it's less a case of distance and more a case of whether someone is free.
Crowley could, of course, simply ask Aziraphale to come get them. He knows how to drive, despite his complaints about cars, but while he's perfectly willing to sacrifice some random townsperson to whatever's lurking out there, he won't risk Aziraphale.]
Unless you've any better ideas?
[He's already typing out a message, though, squinting at the stupid, tiny keyboard.]

Diana sighs, and sees he's already working on the strange communication device.]
No. We should at least try to think of a way to distract it before the taxi gets here, though. It will give us a better chance of outrunning it.

It's a pointless exercise, the only useful things they have are what they brought with them. Like the watches.
That might work. He hums thoughtfully, poking at the watch.]
You reckon this might be loud enough to keep it's attention?
no subject
When her own quick look around the cabin turns up nothing as well, she glances down at her own watch, and tilts her head.]
It might be. It would certainly be worth a try. Can it tune into the radio or something?
