Then, feeling more ready to face the world (even if that world is just her new fake daughter), she slips into some matching kitten-heeled mule slippers and steps downstairs. If your world's history is similar to mine, then you might already understand the first. The second... well, only a few even in my world know of it. But it is where I'm most recently from.
