( Peter doesn't particularly like guns. mostly because he has ended up shot a few times, whatever, it happens in vigilantism, but anyhow, any time he's stuck in an armed robbery it is bound to be more stressful and painful than an unarmed crime. what does a civilian need a gun for, if it isn't for something criminal and/or violent?
he also doesn't know anything about firearms, but the state of disassembly this one is in does make him feel like it's not an active threat to his person, right now. besides, Peter doesn't know this guy, but he doesn't presume he's a threat to him either. he probably just feels on edge about this whole... everything that's happening, and honestly, fair. Peter is on edge about this whole everything that's happening, too.

And then I woke up again in another crazy house that isn't mine, only this time there's different smiling faces in all the family portraits and there's an angry guy with a gun in the kitchen instead of jello salad this time.
