[ he smiles at her and waves his hand in what he hopes is a friendly manner, letting her know he doesn't blame her or anything. it's something he's going to have to get used to while he's here. so better sooner than later when there's a lot of distractions.

and at her compliments, daylight blinks a few times and, slowly, points at himself as if to go, 'who? me?' (yes, him.) ]


Um... Thanks! Knowing others are also here helps a lot, I guess. [ not that he's happy they're suffering or anything, mind you.

it's just. nice to have the knowledge he can turn to others here without fear of reactions or actions he doesn't want to incur. whether it's to chat about things or to put their heads together and try to do something, daylight is glad he has a few names and faces to reach out if he needs to.

I am pretty weird out about something, I won't lie. Like... This whole arrangement is strange, for sure, but what's tripping me up the most is how there's no clear reason for why this is happening.

[ he gestures to the crowd bustling around them. grandparents leading their grandchildren through the selection to pick their tree. two families politely trying to shoo the other away to get their desired little stand. (a few members of hha standing in the distance with their smiles never wavering.) ]

What do they get by dragging us here? [ he needs to lower his voice again, just to be sure. ] From different times and places? You're from the 21st so from the future, just like me. But Agatha and no doubt others must be from the past. What gives, cherrypicking individuals and making them play make-believe?
