They seemed the same as ever from what I could tell. Particularly interested in the decorations and the snowmen, but it didn't seem like they were hiding their motivations behind it.

I'm not sure what would've happened if they'd noticed you, but I'd think if they were consciously involved, or at least directed to involve themselves, they wouldn't have been so easily distracted and dissuaded from further interference.
